Rainier is a Mayflower agent for domestic operations, but their international division is not an entity of Mayflower.
They are fully licensed to as international freight forwarders.

FIDI FAIM really dont mean anything outside of tonnage receprocation. Go with a name brand company and do your research and you should be ok. Make sure you also did your research on shipping the motorcycle. You will need the original title free and clear before you can ship it.

Snice the motorcycle is a big part of the budget I’m going to provide my own crate (500 to $800 saving) I have asked my local motorcycle dealer to give me one for free as long as it is treated wood with right stamping.

At last to compare with another quote I got by email from a non FIDI-FAIM accredited company so without survey of my house and just by filling quote spread sheet 1×20 foot container door to door at $5845  ! Too nice to be hassle free! |

I would like to share my experience with the moving company Rainier Overseas located in Seattle WA.
I contacted several companies in Seattle WA in September 2008 for my move from Seattle to Zurich Switzerland. I took a look at this web site at this time to get some advices about how to choose a company and it helped me in my choice.
Rainier Overseas was the ONLY one that replied seriously by providing a free house estimate of my move. For a door to door service, it was estimated to 18$/cf (I had in total 200 cf). It was quiet cheap considering the other quotes I got from other moving companies. They also explaining me clearly the different options to insure my goods.
The move was operated in Seattle in December by Mayflower transit. They wrapped my belongings carefully and took extra care of my furniture glassware. I was informed clearly of all the procedure for the consolidation/shipment and date of departure of the container.
As estimated, it took 3 months until I got my belongings. Two weeks before delivery, I good informed by email to provide documents for clearance and choose date for delivery.
Overall, very good service. Nothing was broken. Everything arrived in good shape. Very professional with regular updates of my shipment.
This company was recommended by a friend who moved back to UK 4 years ago. She was also happy of the service.
