That is a good point Rick. To their defense, I can say that they were not the only one’s who stole equipment from me. It just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Hi Rick,
Thanx for the clarification as I am unfamiliar with this company. Honestly that description could fit many moving company employees as nobody grows up and say gee i want to be a mover lol.
Sounds like a good program and im sure many of the people there work hard.

Mark, Trosa, Inc. advertises itself as a ‘long-term, residential substance abuse recovery program”. They were set up using the model that Mimi Saulbert developed as part of Dalencey Street Foundation rehab program. When they first opened the doors in the Bay area, a lot of prospective customers shared the same concerns as Agatha. Now they’re usually so busy they frequently have to close their schedule to new business.
Bigmove, has that been the only equipment that you’ve ever had walk away during your career in this business?

It is a not for profit company by design, and it rehibilitates drug addicts by letting them move furniture. Pretty good program if you ask me, “if you go back to using drugs, you will have to move furniture for a living again”.
I picked up an item out of their warehouse about 4 years ago, and some crackhead stole my furniture pads.

While i have never heard of Trosa and I have no idea if they are good or bad this post is particularly unfortunate.
Agatha the first thing that strikes me is how do you know that this company does infact employ folks whose life may not have been as perfect as yours?
When they issued your quote did they also say “hey pls note we employ ex cons and drug addicts?
If you are looking for companys that employ former Unites States Marine Corp officers, Recent college graduates or folks with a stellar pedigree you might just want to move yourself, because you wont find it.
Just because someone is an ex con, recovering drug addict or recovering alcaholic has no bearing on the quality of work they might or might not do.
Any company your dealing with might employ folks that dont meet your high standards, however you will never know of course.
