Ask if you can get a certifed check, or cash, and give it to the driver the morning of the load.
But on credit card moves, the policy is to get the number, and charge the card the day of, or the day before the move. Legit companies don’t play games with credit cards, there are tough laws, and the credit card companies are pretty strict too, if they get too many problems they will cut off the vendor.
