I had the unfortunate experience of being scammed by a company in San Jose, Ca called “Better Way To Move. They also go by “Better Way 2 Move,CHS Transportation, Inc, We Are Moving Relocations, Stevens Moving and Storage, SM&S, We are Moving and Storage. They are also believed to go by a new name “ASAP Relocations” But, I do not have 100% verification on that. They all do business in San Jose and Sunnyvale. Their US Dot# is 1635946, CAL.T.P.U.C# is 190378. Their CA PUC license was suspended on 10/13/2008 and is currently still suspended. They are not legally authorized to move any household goods or get compensation for those services. In my experience, they never gave me a copy of moving documents. They also falsified weight certificates. They quote you for a price and have the ending bill be greater what is allowed by law. They are very unprofessional. They never call or e-mail you back unless it is about payments or if you get in their face. The District Manger is Ron Bar. I implore anyone who has done business with them to report them. I reported them to the Public Utilities Commission, Better Business Bureau, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Ca Attorney General, Consumer Affairs, and FBI. They were on cbs13. A woman talked about her story and how they charged her 400% over the original estimate for a 10 mile move. If anyone needs links, phone numbers, etc to report them, let me know. They also contract out with AAA Gold Star Moving and Transportation, Inc in Miami, Florida. Their FMCSA license was revoked on 03/31/2008. DO NOT use any of these companies I mentioned.
